Motivation to Blog

Hello All,

How is everything going at your end? Hope you are doing well!!!

Well, though I ain't very busy, I haven't been posting on the blog on a regular basis!! Looks like my lethargy has spread even into the area of blogging. The other day, I was going through my old dairy and became quite sad coz there were many a things I was supposed to accomplish by now. Its like I am finding it hard to convince myself that I haven't done awesome things yet and that I don't deserve to relax all the time.It looks like my heart wants a long break.

After great thought, shredding lots of thoughts (on paper) and killing much more time I decided to treat myself, sometime in future with horse-riding lessons provided I get down to proper proportions *read weight*, do well @Graduation Exams and of course keep blogging, enjoy active social life and work to bone for my goals @Career.

Well, sounds impossible right? Dunno!! I am gonna give my best to it!! Let me post the results on this blog soon!!

You ever had this problem? Ever had many a things to do and yet did nothing? Ever thought of motivating yourself with a treat? What were such treats? Did they all help???

with warm regards

Updates -- My life -- Blogging -- Other goals

Morning Everyone,
Write down goals, goals, charting out goals
How is life going on? Mine is coming back to normal pace slowly. Life became hectic due to Semester Examinations, work and other such reasons. Missed blogging, blogging friends a lot.

Now, that I have six more months before another hectic phase of my life *read next round of exams* I decided to take a few goals and resolutions.

Grace of god, gods grace
Grace Of God
For the first time of my life, I was afraid of failing in exams and cursed myself like hell for not starting my preparation earlier. But the grace of god was sufficient for me to clear these exams. Clearly understood why not to waste time from now on.

My goals to be completed before my next exams in June 2012 include:

Major Goals:
  • Exercise regularly and loose about 2 pounds per month or more
  • Prepare well and complete four papers in the next exam
  • Learn the art of creative writing and complete a book say of 60k words
Other important goals:
Horse Riding, Horse Rider, Cowboy on horse, brown horse,
Horse Riding
  • Learn horse riding and ride well for 20 hours or more
  • Earn driving license go on a long ride of 500 km or more on bike
  • Increase online presence with respect to blogging, participation in flash fiction challenges, writing challenges and such
  • Ensure that I read no more than four novels per month

Hope I achieve them all and learn a lot more. Let me see what I can do about all of them. You have any similar resolutions / aims? Care to share them please and the source of motivation to complete them?

with warm regards

Making a Disciple of yourself

Hello Everyone,

Hope your weekend went really well and godspeed to you for the week ahead. Well, mine was kind of excellent. Parting, Enjoying and Sneaking out under the nose of my oldman.

Well, yesterday was my first visit to RamaKrishna Math, a human resource development center with intention to develop myself (personality development). Well, it was kinda very very cool.

The speaker on the dais, was speaking about discipline and was saying "Self - Discipline is the art, in which we become  a disciple of  ourselves." Well, though the statement is catchy by nature, I didn't really like it much. I just want to share the salient features in the art of disciplining ourselves with everyone around. They are:
  • Awareness: Being aware, of our goals, our ambitions and our current status.
  • Coming out of Comfort Zone: By running that extra mile
  • Working Hard: Consciously working hard
  • Time Management: Remembering that our days are numbered and our life must be lived to fullest.
  • Perseverance: Never quit irrespective of anything else.
These are the five principles needed to discipline ourselves. The reason, I liked the speaker is very very simple. He speaks to us, people who need motivation and not for machines / already motivated men. He touches your heart, by citing examples, by using good use of speaking aids (presentation/video..)

Gotta learn a lot from this man, about oration. Well, I hope you all know about my goals. I am gonna come out of my comfort zone from today!! BanZai!! It means, more regular posting on the blog!! BanZai!!

What do you feel, about the definition of discipline?? Do you think the speaker is cool?? What are your goals and how do you think, you shall go forward?? Do let me know please!! For I am in bad bad need of motivation!!

A-Z blogfest, My daily life

Hello Everyone,

There are two things about which I wanna blog. About the A - Z Blogfest and about how my daily life is gonna be from now on. I am turning into new leaf, to live my dreams, by putting hell lot of efforts.

For the A-Z blogfest, I decided what I must do. I will choose a book a day, so that I have 26 books, whose names do start with A - Z. Extract a very very good  quote / excerpt from it, and blog on it. That way, I am sure, I have 26 ideas and that I won't give up the challenge of writing 26 posts.
In case, you don't know about the A-Z blogfest, please do find out more about it here and participate in it. Alex J. Cavanaugh, who is hosting the blog, is also giving out cool tips for the blog-fest on his blog.

And about my life? Ha. I always decide, I am a new leaf from today, and things go the same way. For example, after posting my goals on this blog yesterday, I exercised a little, but didn't maintain diet. I became a glutton by 5 pm !! Ha , well, better luck today.

But going through the Winners Stand Alone, by Paulo Chelho, I was amazed and got a sense of reality. The winners in that book, weren't conjured out of thin air, thanks to Paulo Chelho, I understood that Winners strive hard, spend sleepless nights on the way to success, work like workaholics and there is lot more than talent and dreams.

People say, Genius is 1% inspiration  and 99% perspiration right? I don't need that inspiration, it is inside me I believe so my dreams and the rewards are themselves a inspiration all I need to do now is put efforts, work hard, with tireless enthusiasm and endless zeal. Gotcha!! I will be a big man one day!!

Well, why am I blogging about all this? Simple, I would like to brag about myself and am sure, that I can keep focused when I write down something on paper here blog and when people encourage me and when someone reminds me as soon as I am going off - track!! Ha Ha!! Why do you blog? Does my reasoning sound good?

And, I am not putting ample efforts into my novel these days, so with remorse and guilt in heart, I decided to give up the Ninja badge and claim it back once I am happy with the efforts I put. Sorry Ali!!
