Fun on Phone

Good Morning Everyone,

How has the week started? Having fun? Living upto your new-year-resolution lists or giving them a skip just like me??

I just want some fun, I love fun all time, So I decided to send some cool messages to everyone out their on my mobile. The first thing I sent was

"Good Morning buddy!! Have a blessed day!!! You are looking cool"

at around seven am yesterday. You wouldn't believe the responses I got. They ranged from "Where have you seen me?" to "I still didn't wake up. Do I look cool in my underpants? Let me sleep bro!!" to "Thanks .. that's so sweet of You". I could start a good humorous conversation with all those people who wanted to know when I saw them. Enjoyed about it.

I wanted some more fun. So today I sent the message

    "This message can't be displayed"

to everyone around. The responses were not as such cool as yesterday. There were requests to re-send the messages, to explain the messages, some of them were reporting to me that my message couldn't be displayed blah blah .. I just enjoyed doing so.

Are there any sure messages which get you an instant reply from most of people on phone? If yes, please share them with me!!

Today’s life

Unknown if men are from lord of war.
Young men, to be true, wage wars
for the fancy of swords, powder & horses
alike, but not for the want of fame or horses.

Unknown if women are from Venus.
To be true, beauty is not theirs,
its in men, theirs only mate
as can’t be learnt by them, to their fate.

Hearts of men, on which the nations
fate hangs, desperately need companions
to be comforted, unlike money, that brings
common needs in the form of material things.

Modern life is a world of ready wealth,
with spontaneous wisdom breathed by health.
Lost are true friends, who today only, exist in prose
& can’t between them, stand the differences which arose.

T for Templates

Hello Everyone,

I am left with a lot of posts for the A - Z blog challenge. Hope, I complete them soon. I just found a wonderful book and intend to share about it with everyone. The book has the potential to change your paper into awesome one in just five minutes.

Writing templates are skeletal syntactic frameworks-parts of sentences or paragraphs with blanks to fill in with words of your choice.

They are valuable because they help the reader understand better what you are saying. They help you, the writer, with organization, and they help you to develop the kinds of sentence, paragraph and paper structure that strong writers display.

They are error-free and the diction is at higher level. Hence exploiting these templates will surely improve your presentation / essay / ...

Eg. Template:

"___ are the ___ breakfast food"

Sentences that can be made out of this template include:
  • Eggs are the most delicious breakfast food
  • Vegetables are the staple breakfast food
  • Donuts are the most delicious breakfast food

This is a simple, crude and raw example to begin with. Hell lot of such templates, well classified as per needs,  meeting every purpose of yours can be found in the "Writing Template Book" by Kevin B. King

Some similar cool templates are:
  • Whether __ or not is a / an question. It raises further questions: When ___? Where __? Why ___?
  • The most important questions about ___ are simple ones. ___ and if so, ____? Only by answering these questions ___.

Well, try to use the above two templates while posting your comments and let me know how you feel about the book. Please do grab a copy of the book here:

How the Fight Started

My wife and I were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed. I turned to her and said, “Do you want to have Sex?”
No, she answered.
I then said, “Is that your final answer?”
She didn’t even look at me this time, simply saying, “Yes.”
So I said, “Then I’d like to phone a friend.”
And that’s when the fight started…

---x-----

My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school reunion, and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.
I asked her, “Do you know him?”
“Yes,” she sighed, “He’s my old boyfriend. I understand he took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear he hasn’t been sober since.”
“My God!” I said, “Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?”
And then the fight started…

Fair Weathered Guy

Hello Everyone,

I read a article somewhere long time back. It was about human behavior and relationships. I was lost in my thoughts about something painful and those thoughts reminded me about this article. The same can be summarized as follows:

Wife of some guy was torn during delivery of twins I don't know what the above statement means and believe me I still remember it. She was constantly in pain in the following few days and always required pills to endure the pain.

The husband is the only one who can take care of the wife. The husband was in some meeting at his workplace when his wife called him explaining that she ran out of pills and needed him immediately. Well, the husband made a dash to their medical store, brought the pills. He was enraged at the so called stupidity of the wife because she couldn't plan ahead.

He handed over the pills and started leaving the room in disgust and anger. The wife called him back saying "Don't be the fair weathered guy! Every stranger can be give a smile during normal times. Every friend can be happy in my company when I am in good mood. Please don't be fair weathered guys like them. You are the only one I have now. I am in pain and need you now."

How very true, this happens many a times with us. Everything is okay as long as our expectations are meet in a relationship. But if something goes wrong? then? Should we become strangers? Should we show our disgust / anger and just leave the room? Leaving the other to himself / herself? Cursing them and behaving like angry gorilla's?

Nope, I believe other wise. When we decide to build a relationship with someone be it friendship/love/marriage/so on .. we are supposed to support each other and help each other on bad weather days. We are supposed to stand for each other at every cost and we must.

Just have a thought about it.

My Dream World

Hello Everyone,

My world is creative, full of dreams this is the stylish way of saying I doze off in classes and presentations to dream. I always have one dream or the other. I loiter my time by dreaming, by discussing about those dreams and by thinking real hard what to be done to achieve I am saying I think hard, not work hard these dreams and how they can be improved.

I read Surviving the fog the other day, kids in it viz Star and Comet, wanted some fun, so they organized a tea party with their dolls. They made real coffee, talked to each other about lot of things, acted as though the dolls are sharing their opinions by speaking in different pitches and thereby had ample fun.

They were living in their dream world, they were happy, it won't harm anyone. I too wanted to live in my dream world. The dream I consistently have is I breathing out fire from my mouth as per my wish and will. I wanted to playfully put mustache of people on fire, burn down the stationary just before starting homework, I wanna frighten my evaluation officer / appraisal officer with a fierce ball of fire and lot more.

So I decided, I too will live in my imaginative world, So I started imagining that I am able to breath out fire. I loved the feeling, enjoyed charring down huge stones and evaporating an entire pond of water, and lot more.. It doesn't hurt anyone. It makes me happy, Happiness always multiplies and the world becomes better place to live.

But, my friends started staring at me, as though I am lunatic, as though they are afraid of my imaginative balls of fire Oops, I sent a ball from the screen onto you directly!!! Sorry!!! Whatever, I am enjoying and everyone around is having fun. This is ample, This is what I want too.

Going Crazy in absence of people???

  Well,

after a long day, how do you feel like? I feel like I have none to chat with. Though through out the day I keep on chatting with someone or the other, eating their brains and irritating them like hell, I literally feel i  don't hate myself for not having more people to chat with.

Well, I dunno if I am suffering from something, but I read a article which seemed so true about myself that I wanna post about it. It was saying 2 things.

   1) During the day, I feel I am chatting with more people than necessary and wasting time doing random things for them.

   2) At the end of day, When I sit down to do some real work,  I feel I need to chat with someone else.

Ha Ha !!!! Cool about me!!! right?? What could be my problem?? Well, I always need someone with whom I can relate to, with whom I can be truthful and share myself with.

The article in question is here. Do have a glimpse about it for sure.

The Human Grease

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for patiently bearing with me and reading my blog. I enjoy whenever I see my stats. Though they are very very far away from "The decent Stats" I am still happy.
I started reading "Surviving the Fog" today morning and am going on well. I thought I will share a small excerpt from it with all of you!

"Ralph, that's most of your problem.  You are not polite most of  the time, and most of the time you don't even try to be polite.  Hear  me out," she said before he could growl.

"Think about a little ball bearing,” she began.  “It rolls around on its track doing its job.  But rubbing against metal causes it to heat up.  It gets angry.  And the metal gets angry right back.  So something has to be done to calm that anger.  So grease is put on that ball  bearing.  It soothes the friction between the ball bearing and the metal.  Bumping up against each other still makes the ball bearing  and the metal a little peeved, but that grease cools off both of them.   Ralph, politeness is human grease.

"Ralph, you are a decent person.  I say that because I trust you  with my kids.  But you don't practice politeness on a daily basis.  I want you to try a few things, please.  I want you never to ask anyone  in the house to do anything without saying, please.  And anytime  anyone does something that you have asked them, I want you to say,  thank you.  If you do that for me consistently, well then, at the end of  a month if they don't start responding better, I'll, well, I'll...knock 'em  on their butts."

Hope this article would help you in being more polite. No offense, I don't mean any one of you is impolite, I just mean we must refine ourselves all the time.

How Do I Tell You??

How do I tell you, walking in your shoe
I do feel faithless, unlike the time when I was a kid.
I do wanna tell you, that I should move
on with my life, the way, one day, you did.

You never allow me to fall down.
Then how do I learn to fall gracefully?
How do I learn to deal with mean
unless I try at something, Oh dad! Willingly.

Every step that I take
out of your way, to lighten my heart
to you, is simply, just another mistake
taking you away, from me, further apart.

I shall find out the right way one day
& yet, till then, sing aloud

“How do I tell you, walking in your way
I do feel faithless, yet that I love you”.

--x--
Well , I was scanning my old note books the other day and found this one. I jolted it down after listening to some song somewhere. Probably from high school musical or something like that. I don't remember exactly. I dunno whether this is the lyric directly or I added something to it. Just enjoy

Hated your job??

Well, I have!!

I just took a job, directly out of my under graduate diploma from SBTET. I am Engg. Trainee by profession. And that too, during the time of recession!! Many a good companies weren't ready to hire young men like me then, but my employer was. Bless him for the same. My pay is well, a little above $300 now. I literally hated my job and felt I must curl into a ball of dust whenever I see / hear about people who earn a lot more, when ever I hear news reported saying "an MNC declared 200% bonus to its employees / another MNC hiring 20,000 people" blah blah!!!

Well, yesterday, during transit, I overheard a conversation between two bricklayers! They were speaking about their profession and their proficiency in the job. They were speaking about various foremen under whom they worked, how some of them ran away without paying the wages to these bricklayers, Yeah, it happens in India, the construction sector is largely unorganized, How some of their brick layers amassed a fortune due to dowry / real - estate boom and all such!!

I was lost into thought, I hate my job! Nothing wrong about it. I have my right to hate anything and almost everything Yet, I have a chance to change, I am not in rat race like these bricklayers, No offense, I can afford a milkshake whenever I want, I can take a leave every now and then, I am given some respect in the society, I can sit back and relax, I can do almost anything, I can update my skills and keep moving forward, I can topple all ladder-climbers and race ahead of them all, I can negotiate my pay, I can make myself happy, I can chat with my colleges beautiful, striking and attractive ones, I can go for further studies, I can pursue my passion and most importantly I can be happy with the current position itself! Blimey!! So many reasons to stop hating my job and start running behind my dreams!

I am proud that I am taking care of my needs myself, I am happy I have chance for betterment and a chance to touch the horizons and re-write them all!!! Ha I needn't hate my job at all. I can change if I am willing! Ha, I needn't curse my boss after all!!

So all my reasons for hating the job are now gone!!! Have you got any reason to hate your job and not hate it??

Random Joke

I earlier posted a cool excerpt from Winners Stand Alone by Paulo Coelho on my other blog here. I simply am loving it, for it is related to reality of the world of fame and power. I am sure, every aspiring author / artist must go through this book. Here is a simple joke from the book, Just have a look at it:

Introduction to joke:
Igor, a Russian millionaire is talking to a girl who wants to become a actress.

--x--
"It's lovely here! Do you know why God decided to rest on the seventh day?"
Igor doesn't understand the question, but she proceeds to explain anyway:
"Because on the seventh day, before he'd finished work and left the world in a perfect state for human beings,  a group of producers from Hollywood came over to him and said: `Don't you worry about the rest! We'll take  care of providing the Technicolor sunset, the special storm effects, the perfect lighting, and the right sound  equipment so that whenever Man hears the waves, he'll think it's the real sea!' "
