Author Interview - Janet Beasley

Hello All,

Today, we have Janet Beasley the author of Macyly: Hidden Earth Series answering a few questions. Here we go:
--x--
Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
People should read Maycly because it’s not too often a wholesome, family, book comes along which  offers a clean tale of good vs. evil that sparks some of the most interesting discussions.

What is your favorite Quote?
Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.. ~ Dr. Seuss

When you were little, what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
I never wanted to grow up – so I didn’t. I can proudly say I have achieved my goal with  style. I’m a kid at heart, with a positive outlook on life who loves to stay casual, live life to the fullest, and have a piece of chocolate everyday.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
Life Happens...It’s Up to You Whether You Laugh Through It All

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
So far a full color illustration companion book has been released to accompany Maycly fans of all ages. Because there are so many diverse and interesting restaurants on Maycly, a cookbook chock full of restaurant owner histories, menus, recipes, photos, and illustrations awaits fans of Maycly. All recipes are fully preparable AND edible (for peeps and pups) on Earth. Volume 2 of the 6 volume Hidden Earth Series is nearly finished on the rough draft, and volumes 3-6 are in the outline and massive idea stages. My best advice for this is to become a Hidden Earth fan today - and follow the series as it develops and unfolds in some very imaginable ways!

In your wildest dreams, which author would you love to co-author a book with?
Daniel Carter – author of the G6 Chronicles ~ I think it would be a really fun experience watching our creative efforts collide, all for the better of the literary world.

How did you know you should become an author?
Chronic illness has a way of trying to stifle creative geniuses. If you’re a creative genius AND you’re not a quitter, illnesses will never win over. Yes, you may live with them all of your life, every day, like me. But I’m not a quitter – physical limiations are one thing, but when I can still be creative there’s no need to “give up.” With my chronic, disabling health conditions I had to find a way to continue to release my fantastical imagination...what better way to do that than by going from being a theater tech/director/producer, to an author of inspirational epic fantasy where I can create amazing worlds, characters, animals, and plants my readers and fans long to experience.
